In the Crew’s 2-1 victory over the Philadelphia Union on Saturday, March 22, Anor scored both of Columbus’ goals during the first half, leading the Crew to its first 2-0-0 start in club history.

In the 24th minute, Crew playmaker Federico Higuain launched a high arching corner kick into the box, where a wide-open Anor ran onto it for powerful header that bounced once past a crowd of Union defenders into the back of the net.

In the second minute of first half stoppage time, Anor scored the eventual game-winning goal. Crew midfielder Wil Trapp won possession in the midfield and played a one-touch ball to Anor, who took two touches before sending a left-footed rocket from 35 yards out past Union goalkeeper Zac MacMath.

Following back-to-back wins under new Sporting Director and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter to begin the 2014 MLS campaign, the Crew returns to action on Saturday, March 29 in Seattle, when the Black & Gold take on Sounders FC at CenturyLink Field (10:00 p.m. ET / Time Warner Cable SportsChannel).

The MLS Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by a panel of journalists from NASR. The group consists of members of print, television, radio and online media. More information and membership information can be found at http://www.soccerreporters.com/.
