“We are thrilled to have CUSA join our Crew Youth family,” said Andrew Arthurs, Crew Senior Vice President of Soccer Business Development and Executive Director of Crew Juniors. “This partnership is really unique in that it connects select and recreational levels, a topflight tournament, and provides special opportunities and experiences at Crew games. They are a very engaged and progressive organization and we look forward to a long term and highly productive relationship with them.”

The affiliation is the most comprehensive Crew Youth partnership in the Crew’s history, as approximately 40 teams and 500 select players in the Greater Dayton area will now become the CUSA Crew Juniors and wear the club’s signature Black & Gold colors. CUSA is also set to send 40 teams to Crew Youth events throughout each year and its members will enjoy numerous experiences at Crew home matches via season tickets, hospitality suites, Crew Soccer Rocks clinics and tailgates.

"CUSA has successfully partnered with the Crew in many ways over many years and we’re extremely excited to move to the next level with this affiliation,” said Dean Burgess, CUSA Executive Board President. “CUSA is committed to improving the quality of soccer throughout the Dayton area while providing our players and families unique opportunities to grow through the game. This partnership with Ohio’s only Major League Soccer franchise is another key step towards reaching our goals.”

CUSA was founded in 1971 as a Soccer Association for Youth (SAY) recreation program. Today’s CUSA consists of the Centerville Recreation Program for 2,000 participants, a competitive program of 500 participants and the annual MEAD Cup, the largest Labor Day weekend youth soccer tournament in the country celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2014. The Crew and adidas will help support the MEAD Cup by providing adidas gear, financial support, branding elements and appearances by Crew players.
