Lampson greets LLS Hero in Portland

Matt Lampson teamed up with the Portland Timbers Saturday evening to help give 10-year-old Brooke a much needed break from her treatment for Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia.

Brooke and her family received tickets to Providence Park from the Timbers front office and then had the opportunity to take to the pitch for a post-match meet and greet with the Crew goalkeeper. Lampson was able to offer advice to Brooke, as well as talk about her love of soccer and the outdoors.

Looking to continue the Hero program that Lampson started during the 2013 season, the goalkeeper will be working with LLS to invite a child and their family to every home and away match during the 2014 season.
