Crew's Daniel Paladini suspended

Statement from Major League Soccer:

"On Wednesday, Major League Soccer was informed by the Columbus Crew that the police were called to the home of Columbus Crew midfielder Daniel Paladini Tuesday evening because of a reported domestic dispute.


No arrest was made and an investigation is continuing. The League suspended the player with pay on Wednesday from all club activities pending further developments.


Both the League and the Crew are cooperating with local authorities."
Statement from Columbus Crew Investor-Operator and Chairman Anthony Precourt:

"As soon as the club was made aware of the reported domestic dispute, we immediately notified Major League Soccer. We have and will continue to cooperate with the League and local authorities on this matter. We support the suspension of the player from all team and League activities until more information is available."
