Major League Soccer signs four more college seniors, bringing total to 12 players

Make it 12 college seniors signed ahead of Thursday's 2015 MLS SuperDraft.

On Tuesday morning Major League Soccer announced the signings of four additional college seniors, including two NSCAA All-Americans, in North Carolina forward Andy Craven, Cal winger Connor Hallisey, Tulsa winger Akeil Barrett and Akron rightback Saad Abdul-Salaam.
Headlining the young talent is Craven, a MAC Hermann Trophy finalist. The Georgia native tied for the national lead in goals with 15, while also registering five assists for the Tar Heels last year, landing him on the NSCAA All-America First Team. Hallisey, a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist, posted nine goals and 12 assists in 2014, earning him NSCAA All-America Second Team honors.

Barrett – a Kingston, Jamaica, native who transferred to Tulsa from Akron – scored six goals in 12 starts in 2014 after going for seven goals and eight assists as a junior. Abdul-Salaam made 54 appearances and 44 starts in three seasons with the Zips, scoring three goals and adding 12 assists. Eight additional college seniors were signed last week.
