CREW SC HEADS TO COMMERCE CITY FOR SECOND TIME IN AS MANY SEASONS
Columbus Crew SC plays its 24th 2015 Major League Soccer regular-season match and its 12th on the road by traveling to Commerce City, Colorado to face the Rapids at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. This is the first and only meeting between the inter-Conference opponents in the 2015 regular season. All-time, Crew SC is 11-18-9 against the Rapids, with a record of 3-11-5 in Colorado, and more specifically a mark of 2-3-2 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

LAST REGULAR-SEASON MEETING
On July 4, 2014, Crew SC traveled to Colorado for an Independence Day clash against the Rapids, finishing the contest with a 1-1 draw. Ethan Finlay scored his fourth goal of the year in the 76th minute to level the contest and help Columbus earn a point.

KLUTE RETURNS TO COLORADO
In this match, defender Chris Klute is set to return to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park for the first time since being traded by the Rapids to Crew SC at the 2015 MLS SuperDraft. Klute spent three seasons in Colorado, making 57 appearances (55 starts) with eight assists. The defender recorded his first helper for the Rapids on March 30, 2013 against Portland.

KAMARA HITS CENTURY MARK
Forward Kei Kamara recorded four shots last weekend against Orlando City SC, giving him an even 100 in the season. He and Toronto FC’s Sebastian Giovinco are the only two players to reach triple figures in shots on the season. Kamara’s 2015 campaign is the third season in Black & Gold history featuring a 100-shot individual effort, as forward Stern John reached 116 shots in 1998 and 104 shots in 1999. Kamara’s career-high in single-season shots is 134, established in 2012 with Sporting Kansas City.

HIGUAIN TIES SCHELOTTO
Last weekend, against Orlando City SC, Black & Gold Designated Player Federico Higuain scored his sixth goal of the 2015 regular season and his 33rd career goal, tying fellow Argentine Guillermo Barros Schelotto for sixth all-time in club scoring. Higuain is two goals away from tying Eddie Gaven for fifth place all-time.

PARKHURST HITS 15,000
With 90 minutes played at Orlando on August 2, Captain and defender Michael Parkhurst crossed the 15,000 minutes played milestone in MLS. He now has 15,008 regular-season minutes, ranking 39th among all active players.
