Columbus Crew SC today announced that tickets for a potential MLS Cup 2015 at MAPFRE Stadium on Sunday, December 6 are on-sale to full Season Ticket Members as of today, Wednesday, November 11. Details on tickets for the general public to a potential MLS Cup 2015 at MAPFRE Stadium are set to be announced at a later time.

Crew SC Season Ticket Members have the ability to purchase up to their number of season ticket seats, and any member who purchases tickets to the potential MLS Cup 2015 at MAPFRE Stadium during a limited time is set to receive a special price. Full Season Ticket Members received an email this morning with purchasing information. In the event MAPFRE Stadium does not host MLS Cup 2015, members would be fully refunded for any tickets purchased for that match.

The Black & Gold have qualified for the Eastern Conference Championship and are slated to face the New York Red Bulls in the two-legged aggregate series. The Eastern Conference Championship begins with the First Leg at MAPFRE Stadium on Sunday, November 22. The match will kick-off at 5:00 p.m. ET and will be televised nationally on ESPN as well as air locally on the radio on CD102.5 FM (English) and La Mega 103.1 (Spanish). Tickets for the First Leg of the Eastern Conference Championship in Central Ohio are available now at http://bit.ly/PlayoffTicketInfo.

Should Crew SC advance past the Red Bulls, it would host MLS Cup 2015 at MAPFRE Stadium if it faces-off against Portland Timbers FC in the championship, as the Black & Gold finished ahead of Portland in the final League standings. Should Crew SC advance to play the other Western Conference Championship participant, FC Dallas, the Black & Gold would play MLS Cup 2015 on the road at Toyota Stadium (Frisco, Texas).

MAPFRE Stadium has hosted MLS Cup once before, on October 21, 2001, when the San Jose Earthquakes lifted the trophy following a 2-1 victory over the LA Galaxy in what was a neutral site match. In 2012, Major League Soccer changed the format of MLS Cup from a neutral site clash to be played at the venue of the participating team with the best regular-season record. Prior to 2012, only three clubs played in MLS Cup at their home venue: D.C. United (1997), the New England Revolution (2002) and the LA Galaxy (2011).

Crew SC’s Eastern Conference Semifinals series victory over the Montreal Impact sent the Black & Gold to the Eastern Conference Championship for the sixth time in its history and the first time since 2008. Crew SC has advanced to MLS Cup once in club history, in 2008, when the club defeated the New York Red Bulls in Carson, California to bring the city of Columbus its first-ever majors professional sports championship. Of the four remaining finalists in this year's Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs, the Black & Gold are the only club to ever have won MLS Cup before. Crew SC's six Conference Championship appearances are two ahead of both the Red Bulls and FC Dallas, who are set to make their fourth trips to this round of the postseason, as well as four ahead of Portland, which will be playing in its second Conference Championship.
