Crew SC announces 2016 promotional offers

Columbus Crew SC today announced its promotional and experiential offers for the 2016 Major League Soccer regular season at MAPFRE Stadium. This year, the Black & Gold are introducing “½ Price Night” and the Craft Beer Festival, while continuing to offer the Fireworks Extravaganza, Dollar Night and the Craft Beer & Ticket Bundle, among others. Tickets for all 2016 Crew SC promotional offers are set to go on-sale on Friday, February 19 at 10:00 a.m. ET, with additional information on the offers available at http://bit.ly/2016CrewSCPromos.

New this season, “½ Price Nights” feature half-off all popcorn, brats, Pepsi products and Budweiser and Bud Light (for supporters ages 21-and-over) through the 15th minute, with the offer available at all concession stands on both March 12 against the Philadelphia Union and September 25 against the New England Revolution. Also new in 2016, on both April 23 against the Houston Dynamo and on August 27 versus the San Jose Earthquakes, Crew SC hosts its inaugural Craft Beer Festivals. Supporters ages 21-and-over can enjoy local craft beers with 10 different three-ounce tastings in the Stadium Club tent pre-match ahead of enjoying the action with a match ticket.

The Black & Gold will host their annual in-stadium Fireworks Extravaganza on Saturday, June 25 against the New York Red Bulls, while Dollar Night is on Saturday, July 16 against D.C. United. At Dollar Night, supporters can purchase bratwursts and select Budweiser products (ages 21-and-over) for only $1 each through the 45th minute.

On May 28 against Real Salt Lake and on June 25 versus the New York Red Bulls, the Black & Gold will host an All-You-Can-Eat tailgate, featuring a match ticket and holiday picnic themed items through kickoff.

Back by popular demand, Crew SC is returning several promotional ticket bundles in 2016. The Papa John's Family 4-Pack includes four match tickets, four Papa John's pizzas and four Pepsi products, available for six matches throughout this year's campaign. Also available for six different contests, the Craft Beer & Ticket Bundle returns for the second year and includes a match ticket and two craft beers, while the OYO Cocktail & Ticket Bundle is available on May 28 against Real Salt Lake and includes a match ticket and two OYO Middle West Spirits cocktails for only $35 (for supporters 21-and-over).

Finally, for three separate contests this year, Crew SC is giving youth ages 14-and-younger the opportunity to score a goal on the MAPFRE Stadium pitch against S.C. with the Post-Match Penalty promotion. Interested supporters can line up outside section 120 following the final whistle to head onto the field and take their shot.

This season, gates to the plaza on the south end of MAPFRE Stadium open 90 minutes prior to kickoff, with all sections opening for access to the MAPFRE Stadium seating bowl beginning 60 minutes prior to kickoff. On top of concessions, food trucks, live music and partnership activation on the plaza, the Heineken Star Lounge is also slated to be open to all supporters beginning 90 minutes prior to match kickoff. Pre-match warm-ups will continue to begin roughly 40 minutes before kickoff.
