Steffen leads Riverhounds to scoreless draw with FC Cincinnati

Columbus Crew SC’s USL affiliate — the Pittsburgh Riverhounds — have now gone unbeaten in four of its last five games after a scoreless draw with FC Cincinnati on Wednesday night.


Crew SC loan Zack Steffen had three saves in the match, and recorded his second shutout in seven matches played with the Riverhounds. Fellow Crew SC teammates and loanees Cristian Martinez and Marshall Hollingsworth also contributed to the clean sheet and draw, notching 71 and 45 minutes, respectively.


Next up, the Riverhounds take a short trip across the state for a meeting with Bethlehem Steel FC on Sunday, before returning home for the final match of the season against FC Cincinnati on Sept. 24. Those matches kickoff at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively.
