Justin Meram led Crew SC to a 3-2 win over the Montreal Impact this past Saturday thanks to a hat trick that included scoring the game-winning goal in stoppage time. But Meram’s performance went beyond scoring three goals, as the midfielder — who was voted the Acura Man of the Match by Crew SC supporters — was effective in other areas of the game.

Meram had 100 percent accuracy when it came to shots, as all five of his shots were on target. He also achieved a 100 percent success rate in tackles, winning all three of his attempts.

Meram had 65 touches on the ball in Saturday’s match, the second-most touches out of any Crew SC player on the day.

Meram completed 30 passes against Montreal, with half of those passes (15) taking place in Montreal’s half of the field.

In addition to leading the attack against the Impact, Meram also helped out defensively, recovering the ball a total of eight times — the second most out of any field player for the Black & Gold.

With his three goals against Montreal, Meram became the seventh player to record a hat trick for Crew SC in regular-season action. He was also one of seven Crew SC players to play the full 90 minutes against the Impact.

With his second of the evening, Meram became only the sixth player to have record at least 30 goals and 30 assists or more for the Black & Gold. He is one of three players on the current roster to be members of the 30/30 Club.

Meram had five shots against Montreal, all of them on target. He had more shots on target than anyone else for either team.

In addition to tallying three goals against Montreal, Meram also successfully completed three tackles, more than any Montreal player and the third-most for Crew SC. This was also the third time this season that Meram was named voted the Acura Man of the Match by fans.

Meram created two chances against the Impact, more than any other player for the Black & Gold.

This was the first time that Meram recorded a hat trick for the Black & Gold.
