On April 16, Crew SC supporter Heather Andrews shared a photo on her Facebook page. Her son Nick had a kidney infection and had to go to the Emergency Room.

4-year-old Nick was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease when he was born and has a failing kidney as well, but he is being closely monitored.

One Crew SC supporter noticed Heather’s Facebook post right away and decided to take action. Kevin Longsworth wanted to do something special for Heather, her fiance, and her twin sons, Nick and Cameron. Kevin bought their family tickets to sit in the Nordecke and teamed up with Crew SC to give the family the full experience.

They were given jerseys, toured the locker room with Sporting Director and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter ahead of the game. They even met some Black & Gold players, watched warmups from field-level and cheered on the team as they took the field for the game. High-fives & autographs were shared as well and the whole family took in the experience among other supporters in the front row of the Nordecke!

“They totally enjoyed it," Heather Andrews. "They talked about meeting the team for days on end.”

You can help Nick and his family by donating to the Kidney Walk. The money goes to the National Kidney Foundation, which helps families like Nick’s.

Nick is doing well now, and Heather and her family continue to hope for the best.
