Here are some things to keep an eye on:

Scoring in Salt Lake

The Black & Gold hold an overall 11-5-3 record over Real Salt Lake, and only met with them once last season on May 28. The 4-3 victory last season was a memorable one, especially for forward Ola Kamara, who netted his first goal of the season and his first MLS hat trick.

Let’s Break it down REAL Quick

The last time the Black & Gold met with Real Salt Lake, they won in a thrilling 4-3 match. Here is a quick breakdown on how  Real found the back of the net.

Luke Mulholland 13’ - RSL took the early lead when Joao Plato found Mulholland in transition who sent a rocket from outside the box to the top right corner.

Jordan Allen 78’- Demar Phillips took it down the left side and sent a cross to the center of the box where Allen was able to get his head on it and send the ball to the middle of the net.

Joao Plata 83’- Javier Morales chipped the ball into the box where Allen was able to chest it down to Mulholland. Defender Hector Jimenez applied enough pressure to force Mulholland to lose control, but Plata was able run in and send the loose ball to the bottom left corner.
