SANTOS REACHES 50TH REGULAR-SEASON APPEARANCE


With his appearance in Saturday's road contest against D.C. United, midfielder Pedro Santos recorded his 50th Crew SC regular-season appearance (47th start). Santos played the entire 90 minutes, making two tackles, registering 73 touches and attempting 40 passes. The Portuguese midfielder has scored three goals and recorded 11 assists in his 50 regular-season appearances since joining the Black & Gold in August of 2017. This year, Santos has made 11 regular-season appearances (10 starts), while scoring two goals and providing two assists, including one game-winning strike and two game-winning helpers.

WIL TRAPP AMONG PASSING LEADERS IN MLS


Midfielder Wil Trapp is among MLS leaders in several individual passing categories, according to Opta. Trapp is third in the League in attempted passes (792) - behind only the Philadelphia Union's Haris Medunjanin (800) and Los Angeles FC's Eduard Atuesta (955) - as well as in successful passes (677) - behind only the LA Galaxy's Jonathan dos Santos (694) and Atuesta (838). Additionally, Trapp is sixth in MLS in the category of successful passes in the opponent's half (320) as well as seventh in attempted passes in the opponent's half (396), with a passing accuracy of 80.81 percent in this category.


FRANCIS AND ARTUR LEAD CREW SC IN WON TACKLES


After 11 matches of MLS regular-season action, defender Waylon Francis and midfielder Artur lead Crew SC in won tackles, per Opta. Both Francis and Artur have played 10 matches in the 2019 MLS regular season, with Francis winning 18 of his 24 attempted tackles, while Artur has won 18 of his 30 attempted tackles.


MENSAH LEADS THE CREW IN AERIAL DUELS WON


Through 10 matches in the 2019 MLS regular season, defender Jonathan Mensah leads Crew SC in aerial duels won. Mensah, who joined the Black & Gold ahead of the 2017 MLS season, has won 25 of his 37 aerial duels this season and is averaging 2.78 aerial duels won per 90 minutes, according to Opta.


HIGUAIN: JOINT REGULAR-SEASON ASSIST LEADER FOR CREW SC


Federico Higuain is currently tied with Robert Warzycha on the Crew’s list of all-time regular-season assist leaders and needs only one more helper to overtake Warzycha as the outright all-time leader. Notably, Higuain’s assist against New England on April 6 was also his 20th game-winning assist in regular-season action, extending his lead as Columbus’ all-time regular-season leader in this category. Since joining the Black & Gold in 2012, Higuain has made 189 regular-season appearances (181 starts), scoring 54 goals to go with his 61 assists.


ROBINHO TIED FOR MOST COMPLETED DRIBBLES IN MLS


Through 11 appearances (nine starts) in the 2019 MLS regular season, midfielder Robinho is currently tied with Los Angeles Football Club's Carlos Vela for most completed dribbles (30) in the League, per Opta. The Brazilian midfielder also leads MLS in attempted dribbles (65). Currently, Robinho is averaging 8.53 at- tempted dribbles per 90 minutes, and completing an average of 3.94 dribbles per 90 minutes.


CREW SC ACQUIRES DAVID GUZMAN IN TRADE WITH PORTLAND TIMBERS


Crew SC announced on Monday that the club had acquired Costa Rican midfielder David Guzman from the Portland Timbers in exchange for an International Roster Spot for the 2019 Major League Soccer season. Guzman, 29, is a 12-year veteran who has played in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia and previously won five domestic titles with Costa Rican First Division side Deportivo Saprissa.
