MIAMI, Fla. – beIN SPORTS has acquired the U.S. television rights for the 2018 Carolina Challenge Cup, providing a national television audience for Columbus Crew SC's matches in the preseason tournament. Crew SC will defend it's 2017 trophy against Atlanta United FC and Minnesota United FC as well as hosts Charleston Battery (United Soccer League) for the 2018 Carolina Challenge Cup. After going unbeaten in the 2017 event, Crew SC makes the trip to South Carolina as the defending champion of the exhibition tournament.

Fast forward 14 years and it will be televised nationally, which speaks to how far it’s come and the growing popularity of the USL and MLS brands.”
The Black & Gold travel to Charleston for the CCC from February 17 -24. The four participating teams will play in a round-robin style tournament over the course of three days. Ticket information for the 2018 Carolina Challenge Cup is now available.

In 2017, Crew SC returned to the postseason for the third time in four years and reached the Eastern Conference Championship for the second time in four seasons under Sporting Director and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter.
