PREVIEW | Columbus travels to clash with Western Conference champions -

In their last meeting, Crew SC defeated Sounders FC 3-0 at MAPFRE Stadium. Midfielder Federico Higuain launched himself into the 40-goals, 40-assists club with an assist in the 59th minute. Higuain kickstarted a give-and-go between Crew SC midfielder Justin Meram and forward Ola Kamara that ended in a Kamara goal. Higuain was credited with a secondary assist on the play, the 40th of his career.

Crew SC claimed a 2-1 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes last Saturday. In the 28th minute, defender Harrison Afful nailed his first goal of the 2018 regular season with a roof-of-the-net bound rocket. Back from an almost 11-month injury rehabilitation, Mike Grella made his Crew SC debut in the 65th minute and scored the fairytale game-winner for Columbus.

Seattle is coming off of a loss at Los Angeles Football Club, giving up a long-range free kick in second half stoppage time.

Columbus has a 4-5-3 all-time regular-season record against the Sounders.

Crew SC returns to MAPFRE Stadium on Wednesday May 9 to host the Philadelphia Union at 7:30 p.m. ET.
