PREVIEW | Columbus looks to extend unbeaten run, visits Sporting KC -

Last week, Crew SC left Gillette Stadium with three points thanks to a late goal from Lalas Abubakar. In the 85th minute, Federico Higuain delivered a corner kick to Abubakar who headed it nicely inside the far post for the victory over the New England Revolution.

Sporting Kansas City is coming off of a draw at Minnesota United. Both teams produced a goal in the first half but neither side was able to find a winner through the duration of the game.

In their last meeting, Crew SC and Sporting KC split points at MAPFRE Stadium. An early lead by Sporting KC gave way to an equalizer from Columbus at the end of the first half. Midfielder Pedro Santos sent a corner kick to Ola Kamara who delivered to the back of the net. Crew SC is 22-25-7 all time against Sporting KC.

The Black & Gold currently have the longest active shutout streak in Major League Soccer this season as the club has gone 405 minutes without conceding a goal. Columbus remains unbeaten in six games with four consecutive shutouts.

Crew SC returns to MAPFRE Stadium on Saturday June 2 to host Toronto FC. The final match of the 2018 Trillium Cup kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET.
