CREW SC LEADS MLS IN ROAD DEFENSE

With its 0-0 draw against FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium this past Saturday, Crew SC notched its sixth road shutout of the year, which leads MLS in regular-season shutouts in 2018. Notably, this is the most clean sheets on the road that the Black & Gold have registered under Sporting Director and Gregg Berhalter, as the club registered two regular-season shutouts on the road during Berhalter’s first season (2014) and three regular-season shutouts in each of the following three campaigns (2015-2017). Similarly, through 14 regular- season away matches, the Black & Gold have only conceded 16 goals, which is tied with Atlanta United FC and Seattle Sounders FC for fewest road goals allowed in the 2018 MLS regular season.
