2018 Season Rewind | Zack Steffen's shutout streak

Zack Steffen - Seattle - 2018

Between April 28 and June 13, opponents' goal-scoring hopes were ruined for 525 consecutive minutes by Columbus Crew SC goalkeeper Zack Steffen.

For reference, one could have watched Titanic almost three times consecutively and still have not witnessed a goal creep past the 23-year-old Downingtown, Pa. native.

The shutout streak marked an all-time Crew SC record as well as the eighth-longest streak all-time in Major League Soccer history. For his record-setting efforts, Steffen was named MLS Player of the Month presented by EA SPORTSā„¢ for the month of May.

Amidst the streak, Steffen earned his third cap with the U.S. Men's National Team against eventual World Cup champion France and continued his form on the international stage with saves like this.
