Columbus Crew SC Esports player Nenad Stojkovic is set to compete in the 2019 edition of eMLS Cup presented by PlayStation on March 30 at The Castle at Park Plaza in Boston, Mass.
Prior to the streamed portion of the event, where the eMLS Cup champion will be crowned, Stojkovic will compete alongside 21 other eMLS players (each representing a different MLS team) as part of one last regular season, where they will compete against opponents from the opposite conference for the first time.
Once that regular season is finished, the top five players in each conference – based on their aggregated record from League Series One and Two plus the eMLS Cup regular season – will qualify for the final stage. The remaining players will compete in a Last Chance Qualifying tournament, with the winner from each conference also reaching the final stage. Currently, Stojkovic sits tied for 10th in the Eastern Conference with 16 points.
As for on the pitch, Columbus (0-0-1, 1 pt.) faces the New England Revolution (0-0-1, 1 pt.) on Saturday, March 9 at 2 p.m. ET in Foxboro, Mass. Supporters can watch the match on SportsTime Ohio, or listen on 97.1 FM The Fan (English) or www.ColumbusCrewSC.com (Spanish).
