Columbus Crew SC players and staff to participate in MLS WORKS' Greener Goals Week of Service with Columbus City Schools and Acura

COLUMBUS – Columbus Crew SC today announced that Crew SC players Zack Steffen, Patrick Mullins and Hector Jimenez, as well as representatives from Acura and Local Matters are set to finalize the construction of a new community garden at Beatty Park Elementary in partnership with Columbus City Schools and Central Ohio nonprofit Local Matters. The event is slated to take place tomorrow, Tuesday, April 16 at 3:00 p.m. ET. This project is part of the fourth annual MLS WORKS’ Greener Goals Week of Service.

The project at Beatty Park Elementary is set to include the building of new beds and the planting of trees and bushes. Moo Moo Express Car Wash volunteers,volunteers on behalf of Acura, along with Crew SC staff members and Crew SC supporters will assist with the project on Tuesday and help finish it on Wednesday. The project is being overseen in part by Crew SC’s Give Forward program, which is presented by MAPFRE Insurance.
