Columbus Crew SC today announced that the Club is set to host its “Stuff the Stadium” backpack drive on Sunday, June 23 at MAPFRE Stadium, prior to its home match against Sporting Kansas City at 5:30 p.m. ET. Crew SC supporters who bring a new backpack stuffed with school supplies to Gate 5 of MAPFRE Stadium will receive a voucher for a free ticket* to the match against Sporting Kansas City. The event is part of Crew SC's Give Forward initiative, presented by MAPFRE Insurance.
“We are proud to participate in this great community initiative,” said Crew SC President Tim Bezbatchenko. “With “Stuff the Stadium,” we have the opportunity to help give local Columbus students the tools that they need in order to succeed academically.”
“Stuff the Stadium” is being held to support Stuff the Backpack in collaboration with local TV station NBC4 in Columbus. Supporters may bring backpacks and supplies beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET. All supplies collected will go to 25 local school districts throughout Franklin County and Licking County. Stuff the Backpack is the largest backpack drive in the country.
