RECAP: Late goal pushes Seattle past Crew SC -

Crew SC earned the first goal of the night in the 12th minute after Luis Argudo played a ball back to Pedro Santos, who was then tripped up in the box by Danny Leyva. Santos stepped up and tucked the ball into the right corner to give the Crew a 1-0 lead going into the first-half break. The goal marked Santos' fifth of the 2019 regular season and first from the penalty spot.

The Sounders responded, however, in the 56th minute after David Guzman fouled Seattle's Lodeiro from behind in the box. From there, Lodeiro placed his shot inside the right post to level the score at 1-1.

Crew goalkeeper Joe Bendik kept the game level in the 65th minute after going full-extension to tip the ball past the far bar and out of play. On the match, Bendik tallied two saves.

In a match that appeared to be ending in a draw, Lodeiro came through again for the Sounders in the sixth minute of added time with a back-post header.

Up next, Crew SC hit the road when they take on Orlando City SC on Saturday, July 13 at Exploria Stadium at 7:30 p.m. ET.
