Columbus Crew SC acquires assets in trade with the Philadelphia Union

COLUMBUS – Columbus Crew SC today announced that it has acquired a natural Second Round Selection in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft from the Philadelphia Union in exchange for goalkeeper Joe Bendik. Additionally, should Bendik meet certain performance conditions, Crew SC will receive $50,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) for the 2020 MLS season.

During his time with the Black & Gold, Bendik made six regular-season appearances (all starts).


Crew SC returns to MAPFRE Stadium on Saturday, July 20, when it hosts the Montreal Impact [7:30 p.m. ET / FOX Sports Ohio, FOX Sports GO (Stream) / 97.1 The Fan, 971TheFan.com (English); ColumbusCrewSC.com (Spanish)].
