Room earns the shutout as Curacao tops Haiti in Concacaf Nations League opener

Eloy Room earned his 10th career international shutout as the Curacao Men's National Team topped Haiti 1-0 in Group D of League A of the Concacaf Nations League on Saturday, Sept. 7 at Ergilio Hato Stadium in Willemstad, Curacao.

Room, who recorded his 31st career international cap, totaled five saves to help lead Curacao to its first victory over Haiti since 1950. Now, with Matchday 2 of 6 upcoming vs. Haiti again on Sept. 10, the top team in Groups A through D following the six total matches will advance to the tournament semifinals in March 2020.

Kickoff of Curacao's Sept. 10 match against Haiti is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET from Stade Sylvio Cator in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
