COLUMBUS – Columbus Crew SC today announced that Crew SC Director of Team Strategic Partnerships and Business Development Dante Washington, along with Crew SC Manager of Team Strategic Partnerships Frankie Hejduk, are set to deliver Thanksgiving meals to families in the Linden and American Addition neighborhoods with deliveries beginning at Tray Lee Center (1362 Sigsbee Avenue, Columbus, OH 43219) tomorrow, Tuesday, November 26 at 4:00 p.m. ET. The event is part of Crew SC's Give Forward initiative, presented by MAPFRE Insurance, and this is the seventh year the Club has delivered Thanksgiving meals to families in the community.
“For the last seven years, Crew SC has been honored to help provide Thanksgiving dinners in the Linden and American Addition neighborhoods in Columbus,” said Crew SC Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer Steve Lyons. “As a club we are committed to making a positive impact throughout our community. During the holiday season, offering meals to those in need is an important part of that commitment. Helping our neighbors and their families celebrate Thanksgiving together is truly humbling."
In addition to Washington and Hejduk, volunteers from Moo Moo Express Car Wash are also slated to assist in delivering the Thanksgiving meals, as well as provide gifts to the families. Earlier this year, Moo Moo Express Car Wash partnered with Crew SC to construct a community garden at Beatty Park Elementary as part of MLS Works' Greener Goals Week of Service. Additionally, during the 2019 MLS season, Moo Moo Express Car Wash donated $250 to the Crew SC Foundation for every clean sheet registered by Crew SC.
