Gyasi Zardes, Darlington Nagbe, Lucas Zelarayan, and Caleb Porterwere named to MLSsoccer.com's Team of the Week following the conclusion of Round 1 of the MLS is Back Tournament Group Stage games.
This week's nomination marks the second nod for Zelarayan, who on Saturday scored his second goal of the season in addition to logging his first two assists with the Crew.
Zardes was the recipient of one of those Zelarayan assists, but only after slotting home his first goal of the match thanks to an easy lay-off from Youness Mokhtar, who ended the game with a goal as well.
Nagbe finished the day with a 97-percent passing accuracy, completing 65 of 67 passes, including a 97.1-percent passing accuracy in the opponent's half. The central midfielder was prominent on the ball through 77 minutes before being subbed out, and drew attention on Twitter for his set-up of the Crew's second goal and overall passing consistency:
Up next, the Crew returns to the field on Thursday, July 16 for a 10:30 p.m. ET match against the New York Red Bulls. The match is set to be televised nationally on FS1, TUDN and TSN, as well as via stream on the FOX Sports App and the TUDN App.
