CREW SC OFF TO BEST START IN CLUB HISTORY


Crew SC's current record of 9-1-3 with 30 total points through the first 13 matches marks the best regular-season start in Club history. Crew SC's previous best start through 13 regular-season matches came in 2010, when the Club posted a record of 8-2-3 while securing 27 points. Notably, the Black & Gold are tied with Los Angeles FC's 2019 side for third-most points (30 points) all-time through the first 13 regular-season matches.


BLACK & GOLD SET MLS REGULAR-SEASON RECORD AT HOME


Per Opta, Crew SC set an MLS record for most minutes without conceding a goal at home to start a season. The Crew went 538 consecutive minutes without conceding a goal at home, with the streak lasting from Opening Match against New York City FC (March 1) until the 88th minute of Wednesday’s match against Minnesota United FC.


CALEB PORTER NEARS 100TH PROFESSIONAL WIN IN DOMESTIC COMPETITIONS


With Wednesday's 2-1 victory over Minnesota United FC t, Head Coach Caleb Porter tallied his 99th professional victory across all domestic competitions since joining MLS in 2013. Over that span, Porter has registered 87 wins in MLS regular-season action, five wins in MLS Playoffs action and seven wins in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup action.


SANTOS SCORES GAME-WINNING GOAL, PROVIDES ASSIST


Midfielder Pedro Santos provided an assist and scored the game-winning goal in Wednesday's 2-1 victory over Minnesota United FC. The midfielder’s helper came in the 31st minute, when he set up Lucas Zelarayan, who scored with a header inside the box. Santos’ strike came in the 70th minute of tonight’s contest, when he received a pass from Lucas Zelarayan, which he fired into the near post. In 2020, Santos has made 12 regular-season appearances (all starts), registering three goals and a team-leading six assists.


ZELARAYAN SCORES, PROVIDES GAME-WINNING ASSIST


Midfielder Lucas Zelarayan scored a goal and provided the game-winning assist in Wednesday’s home match against Minnesota United FC. The Argentine’s goal came in the 31st minute, when he headed in a ball from Pedro Santos. Zelarayan returned the favor in the 70th minute, providing the helper in Santos’ game-winning goal. In 2020, Zelarayan has made nine regular-season appearances (seven starts) scoring five goals and providing four assists. Notably, per Opta, Zelarayan’s goal in tonight’s match was his first headed goal in MLS action.


ARTUR NEARING 100TH REGULAR-SEASON APPEARANCE IN BLACK & GOLD


Midfielder Artur made his 99th MLS regular-season appearance in Wednesday's home match against Minnesota United FC. With his next appearance, the Brazilian will reach the century mark in regular-season action for the Black & Gold. The midfielder has made 90 starts in his 99 appearances while providing eight assists since joining Crew SC ahead of the 2017 MLS season.


ELOY ROOM LEADS MLS IN REGULAR-SEASON SHUTOUTS


Goalkeeper Eloy Room currently leads MLS in regular-season shutouts, with seven clean sheets to his name. This season, Room has registered shutouts against New York City FC (March 1), FC Cincinnati (July 11, August 29, September 6), the New York Red Bulls (July 16), Philadelphia Union (September 2) and Nashville SC (September 19). Additionally, Room's 0.33 goals conceded per 90 minutes is the lowest in the League among goalkeepers who have played five regular-season matches or more, per Opta.
