CREW SC'S HOME RECORD IN REGULAR SEASON BODES WELL FOR AUDI 2020 MLS CUP PLAYOFFS

In 2020, Crew SC posted a record of 9-1-0 when playing at MAPFRE Stadium - tied for most wins when playing at its home stadium with the Philadelphia Union (9-0-0). Additionally, the Crew had the second-highest win percentage when playing at its home stadium (.900), behind only Philadelphia (1.000). Notably, in the first year of a straight single-elimination bracket format last year for the Audi MLS CUp Playoffs, the home team advanced in nine of 13 total matchups. Historically, over the League's first 24 seasons, the average of home teams advancing in single-leg ties in the MLS Cup Playoffs is 69.4 percent.

CREW SC'S POINTS PER GAME TOTAL SECOND-HIGHEST IN CLUB HISTORY

Crew SC's points per game total of 1.78 for the 2020 MLS regular season is the second-highest in Club history. The Crew's 2020 points per game total sits behind only its 2008 total of 1.9 points, with the Club winning the Supporters' Shield that year before going on to achieve a domestic double by also winning MLS Cup. Additionally, the win on Decision Day this year marked the second time in the last decade that the Club has finished with a top four spot in Supporters’ Shield standings.

ZELARAYAN WINS MLS NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR AWARD

Crew SC midfielder Lucas Zelarayan was announced as the 2020 MLS Newcomer of the Year on Friday, November 13. Zelarayan, 28, registered six goals and four assists for the Crew despite making just 16 regular-season appearances (12 starts) after missing part of the 2020 season due to injuries. Notably, of his 10 combined goals and assists, half of them were either the game-winning goal (three) or game-winning assist (two). Notably, he is only the second player in Crew SC history to win the award, with the other player being Federico Higuain (2012). The Newcomer of the Year Award honors the best player who made his MLS debut in 2020 but has previous professional experience.

NAGBE FINISHES REGULAR SEASON AS MLS LEADER IN PASSING ACCURACY

Midfielder Darlington Nagbe lead MLS in passing accuracy during the 2020 regular season completing 95.02 percent of his attempted passes. The veteran midfielder made 15 regular-season appearances (14 starts) and saw 1,199 minutes of action on the pitch this regular season. Finishing just below Nagebe in passing accuracy was Nashville SC's Anibal Godoy (91.91 percent).
