“Very good performance, I’m extremely pleased,” head coach Caleb Porter said following the scrimmage. “I thought we took big steps forward today and completely dominated the game. Far and away the better team – we made a bad mistake, so we’ll learn from that. We lost focus in a moment, got beat in a transition, so obviously that’s not good, but we’ll correct that for sure. We’ve got to do a bit better, see the ball, be switched on, kick the ball away. Instead, we turn our backs for a second, they run up, the ball is already set for them and it was a quick transition. [For] Orlando, that was the one moment they had, really where we got kind of stunned. For me that was the takeaway, but I feel very good about how we played.”

The Black & Gold return to action for their next scrimmage on Wednesday, March 31, against Minnesota United FC.
