Columbus Crew SC took on Toronto FC from Disney’s Wide World of Sports Thursday night in the Black & Gold’s final scrimmage during this third stage of the preseason in Florida. This marked the second consecutive day with a scrimmage for Columbus, with a different group having played the full 90 minutes against Minnesota United FC on Wednesday.

Midfielder Pedro Santos opened the scoring in the 18th minute after some solid buildup play from Columbus, scoring from distance.


In his first action since returning from international duty, midfielder Luis Diaz found the back of the net in the 84th minute to score the Crew's second goal, as the Black & Gold fell 4-2.
