    Currently in his third season as Head Coach of reigning 2020 MLS Cup Champions Crew SC, Caleb Porter became the eighth Head Coach in Club history on January 4, 2019. The 44-year-old joined Crew SC following a five-year stint with the Portland Timbers (2013-2017) during which he won one MLS Cup (2015), one Cascadia Cup (2017) and MLS Coach of the Year (2013) honors.

    Pat Onstad (pronounced: on-STAD) is the Technical Director and VP of Soccer Operations at Columbus Crew SC. Onstad joined Crew SC on January 10, 2014, spending his first five seasons as an Assistant Coach on the Black & Gold staff.

  • Director of Player Personnel and Strategy
    Issa joined Crew SC from FIFA’s HQ in Zurich, where he worked in their Team Services and Competition Department, the group responsible for organizing the World Cup and other FIFA competitions. In addition, he led the revision and implementation of the new FIFA World Rankings.

    Ben Cross is in his third season as Assistant Coach for reigning 2020 MLS Cup Champions Columbus Crew SC in 2019. Previously, he served as the Crew SC Academy’s Under-19 Head Coach after joining the Crew SC Academy as U-17/18 Head Coach in October of 2016.

    Ezra Hendrickson is in his third season as Assistant Coach for reigning 2020 MLS Cup Champions  Columbus Crew SC. Hendrickson began his coaching career with Seattle Sounders FC before becoming the Head Coach of Seattle Sounders FC 2 from 2015-2017. Following his time in Seattle, Hendrickson joined Schmid at the LA Galaxy, where he worked as an assistant coach during the 2018 season.

    Pablo Moreira (pronounced: MO-ray-yah) returns for his third season as Assistant Coach for the reigning 2020 MLS Cup Champions Columbus Crew SC. Prior to joining Crew SC, Moreira previously worked alongside Caleb Porter at the Portland Timbers as well as the University of Akron.

    Daniel Hicker, Crew SC’s new Director of Performance, joins the Club from the San Jose Earthquakes, where he served as the team’s Head of Athletic Performance & First Team Strength Coach. Hicker joined San Jose as a Strength and Conditioning Coach in 2017. His previous experience includes working for U.S. Soccer, the San Jose Sharks and Santa Clara University.

    Federico Pizzuto is in his fourth season with Crew SC as the team's Fitness Coach in 2019, having joined shortly after the beginning of the 2018 season after serving as the Performance Director for Porto FC’s Youth Academy – of Portugal’s First Division – from 2016-2018, where he worked with age groups from Under-15 to U-19.

    Rumsey joins the Crew from the Houston Dynamo, where he worked from 2016-2020. He originally joined Houston as an Assistant Athletic Trainer before being promoted to Head Athletic Trainer in 2018.

    Daniel Givens is in his fourth season with Crew SC in 2019 after having joined the team ahead of the 2018 season. Previously, he spent three years as the Head Athletic Trainer for Pickerington Central High School. Before that, he was the Head Athletic Trainer at Clark County High School in Kentucky.

    David Brauzer is in his sixth season with the Black & Gold after joining the club in January of 2016. In his current role, Brauzer is responsible for ordering, inventory and upkeep of all equipment items for the Crew SC First Team as well as properly outfitting the team for all training and game situations at home and on the road.

    Julio Velasquez is in his second season as Manager of Team Operations after joining the Club as Team Coordinator in 2016. In his current role, he helps manage preseason training camps, team travel, scheduling and also works closely with the technical staff and players in the day-to-day operation of the team.

    Ron Meadors is in his 11th season with Crew SC and on his sixth season as the club’s Assistant Equipment Manager.  Meadors originally joined the club as the Team Operations Assistant in 2011 after having joined the club in 2011 as an intern prior to promotion midway through that year’s campaign.
