COLUMBUS – The Columbus Crew today announced that stage one of voting for the club’s Circle of Honor opens today as the Black & Gold prepare to induct a second member into its most elite group later this year. Stage one voting continues through noon on Saturday, April 19 as part of a timeline that includes fan voting throughout the selection process.

Whether on the field, on the sidelines or behind the scenes, inductees to the Columbus Crew’s Circle of Honor have played an integral role in the Black & Gold’s eventful history. Created in 2011 in conjunction with the inaugural induction of Brian McBride, the Circle of Honor serves as the club’s highest honor and pays homage solely to its most iconic performers and personalities.
CAST YOUR VOTE: STAGE ONE OF CIRCLE OF HONOR VOTING
The top five selections from stage one voting are set to be announced on Saturday, April 19 during the broadcast of the Crew’s home contest against D.C. United (7:30 p.m. ET / Time Warner Cable SportsChannel). Stage two of online voting begins the following Monday, April 21. With each of the five finalists highlighted during the five weeks of voting, fans will have ample opportunity to make their selection before the polls close on Friday, May 23. The Crew’s new inductee is set to be revealed in the weeks ahead, with the special Circle of Honor Celebration slated for Saturday, September 27, presented by OhioHealth.
On that day, to commemorate the honor, the inductee’s name is set to be emblazoned upon the upper fascia at Crew Stadium. Additionally, a commemorative bobblehead of the Circle of Honor inductee, presented by OhioHealth, will be distributed to the first 10,000 fans in attendance for the match as the Crew takes on the Montreal Impact at 7:30 p.m. ET.
