MLS rescinds Bernardo Anor's red card from July 12 at New York

Gregg Berhalter confirmed that MLS has decided to rescind Crew midfielder-defender Bernardo Anor's red card from Saturday, July 12 at New York.

The League's decision means that Anor is set to be available for selection on Wednesday against Sporting Kansas City.

"We appealed his red card and it got rescinded," said Crew Sporting Director and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter. "That's a bit of good news. I think that it obviously wasn't a straight red. It's good that it got corrected. I can see it being a yellow card, but a red card, never. There was no intent there."

The original card, which was a straight red and not a second yellow, means that Anor is currently sitting on four yellow cards, and faces a one-match suspension with his next yellow card.

Should the Venezuelan go three matches without a yellow, he would be eligible for the League's "good behavior" incentive and his number of cautions would drop to three.
