Supporter Duane Moore and his six-year-old son Donovan have been coming to Crew games together for several years now, but 2014 was the first year they became official Season Ticket Members. With seats in the Nordecke, the Moores are in the heart of the fan support and shared their experience with TheCrew.com.
What has the experience of being a Season Ticket Member been like?
Duane: "It's been pretty great actually. Everybody [within the Crew front office] is always really convenient if I need something. I just like being able to go and enjoy the match."
Do you have a favorite memory from this season?
Duane: "It might just have been recently against the LA Galaxy. The crowd was pretty crazy!"
What would you tell other fans about the experience?
Duane: "I think you get great value for what you pay. It is a different kind of experience than what you get with other professional sports. Even the players themselves are closer in the community than you get in a lot of other sports. I think that most of them appreciate the fact that people come out to see them. That's a big one for me."
Do you have a particular memory of the Crew in the community that sticks out for you?
Duane: "Donovan met Tony Tchani a couple of seasons ago, not long after he joined the club. Tony spent maybe 15-20 minutes just talking with him. That's something he didn't have to do. I really appreciated that."
