Looking back at the last meeting with the Impact

After a 1-1 draw with FC Dallas last week, Crew SC has another opportunity to get its first three points of the season when it takes on the Montreal Impact at the Olympic Stadium in Quebec at 4 p.m. ET Saturday.

The Impact currently sit in second place in the Eastern Conference with six points, but have dropped their last two matches in Seattle and Dallas. However, Montreal certainly appears to have the talent and depth to make another run at the playoffs.

Last season, the Impact’s playoff run was ended by Crew SC in spectacular fashion.

After losing the first leg in Montreal 2-1, Columbus staged a thrilling comeback at MAPFRE Stadium that included an early goal by Kei Kamara, a missed penalty by the striker, a late series-tying tally by Ethan Finlay, and a spectacular header by Kamara that sealed the Eastern Conference Finals for the Black & Gold.

Steve Sirk called it “the second-greatest Crew SC home match in the club’s history” and MLS Insider captured all the drama that unfolded on November 8, 2015. As you’re preparing for Saturday’s match, relive the 2015 Eastern Conference Semis.
