Crew SC and the Montreal Impact evenly split eight goals in an entertaining match with a disappointing ending for the Black & Gold. Let’s look past the goals and at some other numbers that also tell the story of Saturday night’s clash.

Both Kei Kamara and Federico Higuain scored two goals for the Black & Gold on Saturday. It was the seventh brace in a Crew SC jersey for both players. The performance was Kamara’s 13th regular-season multi-goal match of his MLS career.

One of the best performances of the night for came from goalkeeper Steve Clark. The Barbasol Man of the Match achieved a career high for saves in a single match with eight against the Impact. Clark now has 36 saves this season and 261 saves all-time in MLS.

Federico Higuain scored his 14th goal from the spot out of 20 attempts all-time in his career. That moves the Argentine into first place all-time in Crew SC regular-season penalty kick goals, breaking a tie with Guillermo Barros Schelotto. The Black & Gold also had a total of 14 shots on the night against the Impact, with five on target.

Crew SC had another match with a passing accuracy above 80%, averaging 83% against the Impact. Mohammed Saeid led Crew SC starters with 62 passes and an accuracy of 96.8%. Wil Trapp, one of the League’s best in successful passes, had a total of 54 passes with an accuracy of 79.7% against the Impact.
