Mexico announces team to face USA in Columbus

On Thursday, Mexico announced its roster for next Friday's iconic World Cup Qualifier against the USA at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus. The LA Galaxy's Giovani dos Santos was the only MLS representative, while the Mexican team includes players from Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Mexico's top flights.


Former Real Salt Lake defender Carlos Salcedo, now playing at Italian club Fiorentina, was also called up to the Mexico roster, as was former New York Red Bulls midfielder/defender Rafa Marquez, now playing for original club Atlas.
