Team of the Week

TEAM OF THE WEEK | Goal, assist performance lands Zelarayan on MLSsoccer.com's list for Week 12

First, it was a 30-yard strike in first-half stoppage time to shift momentum, then a late-game assist to seal a draw on the road.

Once again, Lucas Zelarayan played the hero and helped lead a 10-man Crew side back from 2-0 down to draw FC Cincinnati on Friday, and rightly so, the Argentine was named to MLSsoccer.com's Week 12 Team of the Week as a starter.

The 29-year-old attacking midfielder started up top due to the absence of a number of Crew players, including Gyasi Zardes who is currently with the U.S. Men's National Team.

Regardless, the position change didn't alter much, as Zelarayan went on to record his fourth goal of the regular season and first assist.

Up next, the Crew returns home on Saturday, July 17 to host New York City FC for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff.
