A few current members of the Crew reflected on their time with the National Team and what it meant to them:
Mike Lapper: "It's an honor anytime you get to represent your country at that level. I think it goes without saying. Those were special times (at the 1994 World Cup), a long time ago. I still have fond memories. I have pictures of me and Tony Meola after we beat Colombia to advance to the next round, which was a huge thing for us... It was a great opportunity for me. I was a young kid, only 24 at the time. It definitely helped kickstart my career."
Eddie Gaven: "(Playing for the National Team) is definitely a goal of mine, for sure. I think it is for any player in this country. To be able to play for your nation and put on your nation's colors, and go out there and play for your country. It's a huge honor. It means a lot. It's something I've had the privilege of doing several times. It's something I hope I can do more of in my career."
Chad Marshall: "It's what every guy strives for. Every pro soccer player wants to eventually play for their national team. It's a great honor to put that jersey on."
