Last night, the Black & Gold held their annual team awards ceremony at Via Vecchery Winery in the Brewery District. To kick off the event, Crew Soccer Foundation President and Crew President and General Manager Mark McCullers announced that the Kirk Urso Memorial Fund reached its goal of raising $100,000 for youth heart research and programming. It has been quite a week for the Black & Gold's Aaron Schoenfeld following his breakout performance at New England on Saturday. The forward scored his first career goal against the Revolution with a left-footed strike to the top corner. With yesterday's announcement that funding has been approved for a soccer-specific stadium in downtown Orlando, Orlando City SC is on its way to potentially becoming the next MLS expansion franchise.
