Crew SC to participate in inaugural preseason Pacific Rim Cup

Columbus Crew SC today announced that it is set to play in the Pacific Rim Cup preseason tournament this upcoming February. The inaugural edition of the Pacific Rim Cup is set to take place Thursday, February 8 through Sunday, February 11 at Aloha Stadium — Hawaii’s largest outdoor arena. Broadcast information for these matches will be made available at a later date.

The tournament is set to feature Major League Soccer’s Crew SC and Vancouver Whitecaps FC as well as Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo and Iwaki FC from the J1 League, Japan’s topflight. The event marks the first time in six years that teams from MLS and J League will compete in Hawaii.

The four participating teams will play in a single-elimination style tournament beginning on Thursday, February 8. The Black & Gold are set to make their tournament debut against Sapporo of the J League.

Tickets for the Pacific Rim Cup will be available for purchase beginning on November 22. Advance single-match tickets start at $12 through January 31, 2018. Advanced tickets will be available for purchase over the phone by calling the Aloha Stadium Charge Line at 808-483-7123 or by visiting the Aloha Stadium Box Office. Tickets will be available online in early to mid-December.


A complete 2018 preseason schedule for Crew SC will be released at a later date.

The Black & Gold will be back in action at MAPFRE Stadium to host Toronto FC for Leg 1 of the Eastern Conference Championship on November 21 for an 8 p.m. ET kickoff.
