Columbus Crew SC travels to face Seattle Sounders FC in a cross-conference match on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET. In honor of the annual meeting, here's a look back at some of our favorite goals against Seattle:
May 31, 2017 | MAPFRE Stadium
Federico Higuain was credited with a secondary assist cementing his status into the 40-Goals, 40-Assists club. Higuain kickstarted a give-and-go between Crew SC midfielder Justin Meram and forward Ola Kamara that ended in a Kamara goal.
“The post taketh away, and now it giveth, 3-0!”

Pipa unknotted a 1-1 game just after halftime in 2015, leaving seven Sounders defenders in his wake inside their own 18-yard box. Higuain settled a wayward cross on the far side of the box, cut inside with five touches and rips from about 15 yards out. He bulges the bottom corner of the net en route to Crew SC's 3-2 win.
"Take the dribble and the space given to you ... And it's just classy from Pipa."

Justin Meram uncorked one of his mythological meathooks on Seattle in 2014. The match was again tied 1-1 and in search of a breakthrough. Meram received a quick corner kick from Higuain before coming to the top of the box, settling the ball onto his lethal right foot and sending the piledriver flying into the back of the net with justseconds left in the game. The Black & Gold closed out the 2-1 win.
May 23, 2012 | CenturyLink Field
Columbus secured its first ever victory over Seattle with Emilio Renteria wonder goal from 30 yards away — his first goal of the season. Eddie Gavin won a ball from Seattle to set Renteria up for a long-range volley for the 2-0 win.
"Renteria ... will try something SPECTACULAR!"
