On the positives of tonight’s match
“I think it’s another game where there were good things in the match. I thought, you know, the two things that come to mind was we came from behind twice and then we scored two goals. So, I thought we were better in our chance creation, which is what we want to do, but I also thought it was another game where it wasn’t good enough. So there were good things, but not good enough in the end.”
On upcoming Gold Cup break and injuries
“Well again, it’s another game where we hand things to manage, but I don’t really want to focus on that. Obviously Hector [Jimenez] had to go out of the game with a concussion, Pipa [Higuain] had to go out of the game with a knee issue. We have a right winger playing right back and a center back playing left back, but we still should’ve gotten a result today. It was there for the taking and we fell short. For sure we’ll take the good stuff and we’ll build on it. We need to improve our defending, specifically on set pieces and counter attacks, so that’ll definitely be an emphasis next week, but again I’m massively disappointed in the result and I know the fans are. I feel for them and I apologize to them and I take the blame and I take the responsibility first and foremost.”

“There was a lot of good moments and also a lot of bad moments. I think we have to eliminate a lot of those bad moments and be more simple with what we’re doing.”
On playing as a right back for the first time
“I wouldn’t say it was hard or easy, but I’ll definitely grow with it. Gave me good opportunity to get forward in our system, so I’m good with that.”

“ I feel happy with my performance and I feel happy to be back. I did my best to help my teammates and my team, but unfortunately we didn’t make the three points, but I’m glad to be back.”
On focus for next week’s training
“The focus is working hard to move forward. We’re in a bad moment now and we need to change this before the break. We will give everything this week to be prepared for the next game and try to win.”
On personal changes to get results
“I don’t know. Obviously it’s a tough moment. We work a lot and we did everything to get the result, but unfortunately we were a little bit unlucky because everything happened in this moment and a couple of guys enjoyed it and it’s tough too, but we need to be prepared for the next battle and change the results quickly. For sure we will be prepared next game when we play at home and need to get the three points.”
