Second-half goals from Gyasi Zardes and recent acquisition Romario Williams powered Columbus Crew SC (5-14-3, 18 pts.) to a 2-2 comeback draw at the Chicago Fire (5-9-8, 23 pts.) on Wednesday, July 17 at SeatGeek Stadium.

RECAP: New additions help Crew SC draw at Chicago -

In the first half, the Black & Gold's best opportunity came in the 18th minute when a header from Zardes was saved off the line after a Wil Trappcorner kick.

It was the Fire who struck first, however, when Chicago's Djordjie Mihailovic scored in the 28th minute after half-vollying a pass from Przemyslaw Frankowski just inside the right post.

Just two minutes into the second half, Crew SC set the tone early for the final 45 minutes, when Eduardo Sosawon the ball at midfield and found Luis Argudowho then slotted the ball to a cutting Zardes who finished it inside the near post.

The level match did not last long, though, after the Fire got their second goal of the night in the 63rd minute when C.J. Sapong spun and drove the ball into the back of the net.

The Black & Gold's newest additions in Luis Diaz and Romario Williams subbed on the 65th and 79th minute, respectively, and immediately made an impact for Club. In the 90th minute, Diaz served the ball into the box where Williams headed the ball into the far post. The goal marked Williams' second goal of his MLS career.

Up next, Crew SC returns home when they take on the Montreal Impact on Saturday, July 20 at MAPFRE Stadium at 7:30 p.m. ET.
