Columbus Crew SC begins its 25th MLS season at home against New York City FC, in Opening Match at 12:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 1 at MAPFRE Stadium. “The start of a new season is always exciting, and we’re thrilled to be able to open our 25th season at home,” said Crew SC President and General Manager Tim Bezbatchenko. “Our entire technical staff has been hard at work during the offseason putting together a team that is able to contend for championships and will continue to do so as we close in on our Opening Match. We look forward to seeing all of our supporters filling the stands at MAPFRE Stadium on March 1 in what will be our last full season in this location.”

The Crew is slated to open its 2020 campaign against New York City FC for the first time in Club history. Additionally, the match marks only the fourth time in 12 years that Crew SC has opened its campaign with a match at MAPFRE Stadium. The 2020 regular season will be the Black & Gold’s 25th season in MLS and the 21st season at MAPFRE Stadium – the League’s first soccer-specific stadium.

Tickets to all matches on the Crew SC home schedule are available now through 2020 Season Ticket Memberships both online and over the phone at 614-447-CREW. 2020 Full Season Ticket Members will have priority over the waitlist in selecting seats for the Club’s new downtown stadium, slated to open in 2021. Individual-match tickets for 2020 home matches are now available online at ColumbusCrewSC.com or via phone. For access to purchasing FC Cincinnati tickets, call 614-447-CREW. Local broadcast and promotional schedule information will be released at a later date.

Group Tickets of 20 or more are available for purchase by calling 614-447-CREW ext. 3 or by email at groupsales@ColumbusCrewSC.com. Crew SC’s Winter Wonderland Pack – a gift package which includes two (2) tickets to Opening Match as well as two winter hats – is also still available for as low as $60 via the following link: http://bit.ly/2KHjdEJ. Supporters interested in purchasing a Winter Wonderland Pack must use the promo code WINTER to redeem the offer.

In 2020, Crew SC faces all Eastern Conference opponents – Atlanta United, Chicago Fire FC, D.C. United, FC Cincinnati, expansion side Inter Miami CF, Montreal Impact, New England Revolution, New York City FC, New York Red Bulls, Orlando City SC, the Philadelphia Union and Toronto FC – twice, with one match at home and one match on the road against each.

10 other contests featuring Western Conference opponents complete the Black & Gold's 2020 regular-season schedule. The Crew host Real Salt Lake, Minnesota United FC, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, the Colorado Rapids and the Houston Dynamo at MAPFRE Stadium this year, while the Club is set to visit expansion side Nashville SC as well as Seattle Sounders FC, FC Dallas, the Portland Timbers and Sporting Kansas City.

Notable schedule highlights include: Opening Match at MAPFRE Stadium against New York City FC (March 1); a home contest against Western Conference opponent Real Salt Lake (March 14); the first of two Trillium Cup matches against Toronto FC at home (April 4); an Eastern Conference clash against Orlando City SC (April 11); a home contest against the Philadelphia Union (April 25); and a visit at the end of April from Western Conference side Minnesota United FC (April 29).

In 2020, the Black & Gold is also set to host fellow Eastern Conference sides the Montreal Impact (May 9) and Vancouver Whitecaps FC (May 27) during the month of May. The Crew is set to play three matches at MAPFRE Stadium in June, hosting Chicago Fire FC (June 13), D.C. United (June 20) and Atlanta United (June 27) before playing its inaugural MLS regular-season home match against expansion side Inter Miami CF (July 5).

Crew SC travels to face FC Cincinnati for a nationally televised match before returning to MAPFRE Stadium to host the Colorado Rapids (July 25). A two-match home stand in August follows, during which the Crew faces the New England Revolution (August 15) as well as the second of two regular-season matches FC Cincinnati (August 22). The Black & Gold then close the regular-season home schedule with back-to-back matches against the Houston Dynamo (September 12) and the New York Red Bulls (September 19).

The first two rounds of the 2020 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas are held on Thursday, January 9 at 12:00 p.m. ET. Crew SC enters the SuperDraft with the seventh pick in the First Round, as well as the 21st pick (47th overall) and the 23rd pick (49th overall) in the Second Round. The event is set to be streamed live on Twitter, the ESPN App, YouTube and Facebook.
