NEMETH SCORES FIRST GOAL WITH CREW SC

Forward Krisztian Nemeth scored the game-winning goal in Sunday’s 2-1 victory over the Philadelphia Union. Nemeth’s 84th-minute goal, assisted by midfielder Luis Diaz, was his first regular-season goal as a member of the Black & Gold. The Hungarian forward joined Crew SC on October 5, 2020 and has since made three appearances (two starts) for the Crew in the regular season. Per Opta, Nemeth scored 37 seconds after coming on as a substitute, the fastest goal by a Crew SC substitute in regular-season action since Kekuta Manneh (26 seconds) against Montreal in June 2017.

ARTUR NETS SECOND REGULAR-SEASON GOAL AT HOME IN VICTORY OVER PHILADELPHIA

Midfielder Artur scored the first goal in Sunday’s home match against the Philadelphia Union. Artur’s goal came from a pass by defender Harrison Afful in the 37th minute of the match, giving Crew SC the 1-0 lead. Notably, this was Artur’s second regular-season goal since joining Crew SC in 2017, with his first goal coming earlier this year against New York City FC at home (October 18). In addition to his two goals, Artur has also made 20 regular-season appearances (20 starts), while registering three assists in 2020.

ROOM MAKES EIGHT SAVES AGAINST THE PHILADELPHIA UNION, PERSONAL BEST SINCE JOINING CREW SC

During Sunday’s home match against the Philadelphia Union, goalkeeper Eloy Room made eight saves. This marked the highest number of saves Room has made in a single regular-season match since joining Crew SC. The goalkeeper had previously recorded six saves in a single regular-season match on three occasions: on the road at the Houston Dynamo (October 24), on the road at FC Cincinnati (August 25, 2019) and at home against Chicago Fire FC (August 31, 2019). Additionally, Room’s eight saves was the most saves made for a Crew goalkeeper in a single match against Philadelphia and is tied with Philadelphia goalkeeper Zac MacMath for most saves in a single match all-time in the series.

ZARDES AMONG FAVORITES TO WIN 2020 MLS GOLDEN BOOT RACE

With 11 goals through 19 regular-season appearances in 2020, Gyasi Zardes is currently in second place in this year's MLS Golden Boot standings. The forward - who is scoring at a rate of 0.64 goals per 90 minutes - sits behind only Los Angeles FC’s Diego Rossi (13 goals) with two matches left to play in the 2020 MLS regular season. Currently, Zardes needs three goals to overtake Rossi at the top of the Golden Boot standings on goals. Should Zardes and Rossi finish the regular season level on goals, the tie-breaker would be assists, a category in which the Crew SC forward currently holds the advantage, as he has four assists to Rossi's three helpers. Additionally, should Zardes win the Golden Boot this year, it would mark the first time that the forward has won the award.

MENSAH AMONG LEADERS MLS IN SUCCESSFUL PASSES AND CLEARANCES

Through 21 regular-season appearances in 2020, defender Jonathan Mensah has made a League-leading 1,210 successful passes and is second in the League with a total of 100 clearances. In passes, the defender is ahead of Toronto's Alejandro Pozuelo (1,112) and LAFC's Eddie Segura (1,102). In clearances, Mensah follows only Nashville SC's Walker Zimmerman (95) following Sunday's match against the Philadelphia Union.
