Columbus Crew SC drew Nicaraguan club Real Esteli FC in the 2021 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Round of 16, as announced by the governing organization on Wednesday night as part of the tournament's official draw ceremony.

The Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Round of 16 matches are set to take place over two legs, with first leg matches scheduled for April 6-8 and second leg matches scheduled for April 13-15.
The Black & Gold have previously participated in the 2009-2010 and the 2010-2011 editions of the Concacaf Champions League, advancing to the quarterfinals of the tournament on both occasions. The Crew holds an all-time record of 6-4-6 in the competition.
